MARK YOUR CALENDERS - On July 15-16, 2006 I Write the
Songs will be hosting a songwriting workshop in the Dallas area. The topic of the
seminar will be How To Get Somewhere In The Music Business From Nowhere With Nothing
. The weekend will be geared toward helping take a completed song to the next level.
A few of the topics this workshop will cover are:
Mary Dawson will be leading the seminar and drawing from her 20 years of experience as a songwriter, publisher, author and host of the radio program I Write the Songs. Mary is also at the top of her field in analyzing and critiquing songs. Her insight and expertise during the song critiquing session will prove invaluable to all who attend. Co-hosting the seminar with Mary is Sarah Marshall. Sarah's line of expertise is in helping aspiring songwriters and artist anayze their own gifts and resources to set in motion a plan of action that will focus their efforts and attention on breaking open new markets that will both promote new music and sell records. SPACE IS LIMITED to 20 participants. The weekend will include lunch on Saturday
and Sunday, Question and Answer sessions to address the specific needs of each participant, and
plenty of time to network and mingle with other songwriters who are on the same journey. |
